When deciding where our next adventure should be, we settled on glamor and were not disappointed. I don’t know about you, but when I think of California glamor, my mind instantly drifts to Beverly Hills, and there is no hotel with more beauty and allure than the Waldorf Astoria Beverly Hills Location. A one night stay will run you around $1,000 a night, or if you are a Hilton Honors Points member like we are, it is 120,000 points for one free reward night.

From the moment you enter the hotel you are met with a stunning combination of white and gold creating an elegance and beauty that continues throughout. A personal favorite was the ode to classic Beverly Hills with the framed portraits of palm trees in the lobby. We originally booked a Superior Two Queen Room as it was the only one available, but the staff were friendly and extremely courteous as they accommodated our request and moved us to a Superior King Room with Terrace. The room was nothing short of spectacular, from the spacious tub to the private balcony overlooking the city.

SHUTTLE SERVICE

With the famed Rodeo Drive within walking distance, and the Pacific mere miles down Santa Monica Blvd, the Waldorf Astoria sits in a prime location for anyone wanting to take in the rich atmosphere that is Beverly Hills. We ate lunch at 208, a restaurant on the cobbled street of Rodeo, Via, and were able to enjoy beautiful weather under the droves of trees lining the street. We also dressed up for a night on the town and thoroughly enjoyed using the Rolls Royce shuttle service provided by the hotel. I’m not even sure if I can call a Rolls Royce merely a car, and the ride did not disappoint. The shuttle is available to any location within three miles of the hotel, but be sure to book early as there are usually no appointments available within a few hours.

ROOFTOP BY JG

In addition to the beauty found within the hotel, we enjoyed a trip to the rooftop pool. In almost every direction we looked we could see downtown Los Angeles and the constant bustle of the city that is home to the stars. The Waldorf Astoria is also home to the restaurant The Rooftop by JG, in which Michelin rated chef Jean George curates the menu. The food was absolutely divine, and my mouth is literally watering remembering the slight spice of green chili mixed with the subtle nuttiness of the Gruyere cheese on my lobster burger. If you want to try this little piece of heaven (and you should) reserve ahead! There were no reservations available within a few days of our trip and we were lucky to have booked early. As rewards members, we were also able to use a $25 food and beverage credit towards our meal. This reward is available to all Gold and Diamond members and can be used for up to two people.

Overall, if you’re looking for a quick escape reality from the everyday life into the glitz and glamor of Hollywood, the Waldorf Astoria Beverly Hills is the perfect location. We did use our free reward night, and if you are planning on using rewards points plan on booking ahead as there is limited availability. This is the third Waldrof location we have stayed at and they never disappoint. Stay tuned for our next adventure :)
